Flowers Free Delivery

August 7th, 2010

When you were a child bringing your mom flowers, free delivery wasn’t something you thought about. After all, not only did you pick the flowers yourself but, you personally delivered them. However, as you matured the females of your acquaintance expected a bit more of you in the way of flowers than those golden dandelions and wild daisies. With those days of bringing about smiles with a few hand picked buttercups behind you, you discovered the world of flower shops.
For some of you who are old enough to remember, there was a time when ordering flowers from your local florist meant the price you were quoted for flowers was the price you paid. You got the flowers and  free delivery . However, as time passed, flower shops wanting to fool customers into thinking that they were getting great deals on the arrangements they purchased, began lowering the prices of their flowers and then tacking on delivery fees. Which meant you never really got the flowers for the price shown on the arrangement or quoted to you. There was always that pesky delivery fee tacked on.
Like every thing else, you got used to paying that extra fee when ordering flowers and although you never liked it you accepted it. So it must have come as quite a surprise when you first ordered  from an online flower shop and discovered that the price on the flower arrangement was the price you paid , free delivery had been restored.
The reason for this is simple, with so many online flower shops competing for your business and the economy being in such a state that flower sales are down, each shop is looking for an edge. While some shops offer seemingly low rates on their arrangements and make up the difference by tacking on of delivery fees. Other shops sell little more expensive flowers with free delivery included, while  others split the difference and offer discounts on delivery fees.
Nowadays, knowing if you’re getting the flowers free delivery  is quite easy. Most online and even local shops that offer free delivery  tell you so right up front ,so you know that other than tax the price quoted for that Mother’s Day arrangement or that “I forgot your birthday, please forgive me” arrangement is the price you are going to pay. Nothing could be easier or simpler.
Of course, perhaps you are one of those lucky men who has discovered that the girl of your dreams has a true romantic streak and you can once again revert to those wonderful days of childhood and pick those colorful wild flowers for the new woman of your life and bring her those flowers free delivery included and she will think you are a true romantic instead of a cheapskate.

Flower Delivery

August 9th, 2010

It doesn’t seem possible that anyone could imagine an occasion when it was not a great idea to have a flower delivery person ring the doorbell.  Women especially, feel very special when that flower delivery man brings her a bouquet of flowers or perhaps a single red rose. The ability to express affection may be difficult for some, but it is easy to send flowers. It can be the greatest way to express yourself.

If we look at holidays throughout the year, Valentines day immediately comes to mind. Your love will be thrilled when the delivery person rings the doorbell and presents them with a long white box full of roses. Or perhaps a small bouquet in a pretty arrangement is more the style you are trying to portray when you send flowers on this special occasion. Flower delivery needs to be arranged early for this holiday, it is one of the biggest events in the floral season. Red roses are the favorite of many, but need not be your only choice.

The color of roses have different meanings. If you look it up, it may say that red roses are a symbol of love. On another page it says that they are a sign of passion. White roses can be love as well. Yellow roses are sometimes considered a sign of enduring friendship or the beginning of a new relationship.

That flower delivery doesn’t have to be totally local. You can phone in orders or go on the internet and order from one of the larger companies. It is even possible to be the delivery person yourself for an added surprise. Some companies mail the flowers to recipients. The choices are many and the opportunities are great.

Mother’s Day is another appropriate holiday for flower delivery. Every mother loves to know that she is loved by a child. It doesn’t matter if it is an elaborate arrangement or a small bouquet. Mothers do deserve this celebration and appreciate the effort to get those pretty flowers delivered. Corsages are very popular for Mother’s Day. The old traditions tell you that white flowers mean your mother has passed and pink means she is still with you and loving you.

Easter comes to mind as another flower giving holiday. Tulips, lilies and some of the other pretty pastel spring flowers combine to make it special for the recipient. This is another potential corsage day.

Proms mean fancy dresses and a pretty corsage. The flower delivery for prom can be from the giver or sent in advance to be delivered. Just keep in mind that this corsage may have to be a wrist-let, rather than a pinned corsage. Attempts to come close to the color of the prom dress will make it even more meaningful.

There are few days in a year that a person does not appreciate a delivery of their favorite flowers. If you walk to the door with a single rose and a smile, it can be as impressive as having the flower delivery person bring a dozen long stemmed roses.

Flowers Free Delivery : How Florists Stay Competitive

August 9th, 2010

With today’s sagging economy the last thing on many consumers minds is purchasing flowers. Of course there are still plenty of occasions all year round where people need or want fresh flowers, but, with fewer people buying just because bouquets and the increase of online flower shops there isn’t as much business to go around as there once was. Florists have to be more competitive than ever if they want to stay in business and offering their floral arrangements and flowers free delivery included is one way to stay competitive.
Studies have shown that consumers like to know the entire price up front. They simply don’t like added charges that they see as hidden costs. A survey of online consumers showed that consumers are more likely to change their mind about purchasing a product when delivery costs are tacked on. They are far more willing to pay a higher fee for a product and know the entire cost upfront, than think they have found a great deal only to discover that the cost of having their purchase delivered makes the product more expensive than one that was placed higher in the first place.
Here are  some of the advantages for online and off line florists offering a Flowers free delivery program on their floral arrangements.
Customers are more likely to come into their store or browse their online shop if a “Flowers free delivery” sign is prominently posted.
Customers are more likely to actually make a purchase when free delivery is included in that purchase.
Offering free delivery as a reward or to all customers actually increases customer loyalty meaning they are more likely to return to that flower shop when making further purchases.

Online Florists offering Flowers free delivery are more likely to receive high ratings in reviews, and customers who get Flowers free delivery included from local florists are far more likely to recommend that florist to their friends, acquaintances and colleagues. This means that for the florist the chances of gaining new customers can drastically improve.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Since many flower shops do advertise Flowers free delivery doing so  helps in staying competitive.
Offering free delivery of their floral arrangements doesn’t mean they have to lose money. Most flower shops who offer free delivery, figure the actual delivery cost into the price of their floral arrangements. Customers really don’t mind paying a little more for flowers as long as they know they won’t get hit with an extra fee once the order is placed.
Offering free flower delivery and prominently displaying a Flowers free delivery sign in their store window or on the homepage of their online flower shop is just one great way of encouraging customers into stopping by and seeing what they have to offer. It is simply one great way that flower shops and florists stay competitive and keep their business growing.
